It was last night when they drove through the empty dark road with the light full beam as the car moved at full speed. Garrof got both his hands on the steering wheel his expression was tightened the same way as Lloyd thought he tried to remain calm, meanwhile, Lory checked from the digital map on her phone how far they were from the location.

Suddenly Garrof's phone rang again, and in a second Lloyd answered the phone "Dan, what happened?"

Dan only says two words "They here!" and the phone cuts off abruptly.

The silence holds them rigid, it feels like the air was sucked away from their lungs.

"We won't make it!" Garrof tightens his grip on the steering wheels.

"We still not sure..." Lloyd tried to be positive but the tremor in his voice betrayed him.

No matter how strong they were, Dan, Owen, and Lydia didn't have the means or experience to fight Paladins or Dragxtarn, even experienced soldiers would have a hard time facing those two forces.

Moreover from what Dan said, it seemed Owen and Lydia weren't doing well either so how could he face the enemy all by himself, that's impossible. They don't want to admit it but Dan and the other's situation is as good as dead.

Lory looked down and pondered for a while, it didn't take long before she raised her eyes, and her eyes glinted with calm determination, "You won't make it, but I will"

Garrof and Lloyd simultaneously turned their head at Lory who sat in the back seat.

Lory took off her green contact lenses, rested her head then took a long deep breath and slowly closed her eyes. Her red lips muttered inaudible sounds that they guessed as chanting spells.

Suddenly they felt a cold piercing their skin, Garrof then saw the windows suddenly become foggy not long after the entire street was covered in thick fog.

When Lory opened his eyes, they glowed with purple light at the same time the fog grew thicker and thicker until Garrof couldn't see the road ahead of him.

Lory took off her jacket and then calmly opened the window next to him after that she got herself out of the window.

"Your Highness?"

"Princess!"

Garrof and Lloyd were bewildered as they saw Lory climb onto the car's roof. Lloyd didn't know what Lory wanted to do so he pulled himself out the window to follow her, it was then he saw a pair of white wings spread gracefully behind Lory's back.

Her beautiful purple eyes turned to Lloyd, "I will save them, You go on your own!"

She gave clear but brief orders without a slight hesitation, Lloyd was overwhelmed by the presence of the legendary white rings thus the words he wanted to say were stuck in his throat.

Lloyd watched in awe and for several minutes, he only saw Lory's wings twice but they were always in dangerous situations so he had no chance to have a better look, but now he had the chance he was so overwhelmed he didn't close his mouth even after Lory long gone, but then Garrof's voice snapped him out of his daze.

when Lory left the Fog around them gradually dissipated, at that time Lloyd already pulled himself back into the car. Garrof looked at him and then asked curiously "What Princess Lorient said?" It took a few second for Lloyd to collect himself before he replied solemnly, "Her higness said...she will save them"

The anxiety in Garrof's eyes visibly decreased quite a lot and then the corner of his lips curled up "Those lucky Basta*d!" he chuckles.

'What should I do - what should I do - what should I do' Daniel peeked through the window from the second floor.

Outside Dan saw three black cars, then eight people got out of the cars. They all have tall, Sterk, well-built, bodies that show they are from the military. Those people had sharp - cold eyes that indicated they must have killed people before and in their hands, they all carried a weird weapon, there was no mistaking they were a Dragxtarn!

Dan didn't understand why Dragxtarn was involved with the disappearance of S.A.I.N.T. organization members. Moreover, Lydia was not a member of a high-ranking organization, so why would they care so much?

"Ugh"

"Psst" Daniel hurriedly covered Lydia's mouth.

Lydia realized where they were. Lydia nodded slowly indicating she understood the situation only then Daniel lowered his hand after that he continued to peek out the window watching the eight men spread out into three groups, it seemed it wouldn't be long before they finally found them.

"Lydia, how are you?" Daniel whispered with a worried face.

Lydia looked down at the cuff on her right wrist, it was a mana controller.

"I'm fine, but I couldn't use my Gift" She looked at the unconscious owen worriedly.

Luckily for Owen, Daniel, and Lydia, they were stranded in Gilstead because they didn't initially plan to escape to Luxemborough, however since they were cornered, they had no choice but to randomly sneak onto a cargo plane that took them to Luxemborough, Gilstead.

Unfortunately, the enemy managed to track their whereabouts and then chassed them in no time, which caused Owen to be seriously injured when he tried to protect Lydia.

At first, they didn't want to call Garrof and Lloyd because they knew they were on an important mission. After all, this problem was caused by themselves so they felt embarrassed to ask Garrof and Lloyd for help, but now they were in a dire state.

Lydia couldn't use her powers, Owen was injured and he himself was not strong enough to face the enemy alone moreover protected his friends, therefore Dan had no other choice but to ask Garrof and Lloyd for help even though he wasn't sure if they could help because

Dan didn't know where they were so one could imagine how happy he was when he found out that Garrof and Lloyd were in the same city.

But the problem is, will Garrof and Lloyd be able to arrive on time, not to mention fighting eight Dragxtarn, will they be able to? what would happen if Garrof and Lloyd were injured or worse...

Daniel shook his head to get rid of the bad thoughts, he assured himself that Garrof and Lloyd were so strong and resourceful that nothing could happen to them right...right?!

"And, we need to do something about Owen's wounds, or he will die from blood loss" Lydia's voice was choked from holding tears.

Dan swept his gaze around him, then scrambled to check the shelves and drawers not long after he found a first aid kit but his heart dropped in his stomach when he opened the box there were only one bandage roll and half a bottle of antiseptics left.

Dan cursed in his heart but still brought a first aid kit to fix Owen's wounds though it was just for a little, but Dan hoped it would be enough to buy him time until Garrod and Lloyd arrived.

"This is not enough!" Lydia panicked seeing that the blood still hadn't stopped.

"This is because of that damn weapon called Dragna, I heard that each weapon has a unique character, I don't know what kind of Dragna injured Owen but the wound won't heal even though he has consumed health potions.

"This is the last..." Owen took a small green bottle from his trouser pocket and forced Owen to drink it.

"Is this okay...don't you need it" concern was clear on Lydia's tired face.

"Don't worry, Garrof and Lloyd are already on their way, we just need to hold on!" And said with a reassuring smile.

Instantly Lydia's face lit up with joy and relief. "I...is that true, they're here?!"

"Yeah, I'm just taking a risk, who knows we might be that lucky!" And grinned broadly.

"But...will they arrive on time?" Knowing the enemy was so close she became anxious again.

"That's why we must hold out until they arrive," said Dan.

Lydia shifted her gaze towards the unconscious Owen, and after that she shifted her gaze towards the worn-out Dan, at that moment Lydia was engulfed with guilt, "I am sorry..."

And looked at him confusedly, "Huh?"

Lydia bit her lip then tears rolled down her cheeks uncontrollably, "It's because of me...if I didn't come to you...you and Owen wouldn't be in this situation, I'm sorry..."

Dan didn't know what to do, but one thing was for sure he didn't regret helping Lydia, because the reason he became a hunter was to help others just like Garrof and Lloyd helping him and Owen once.

Daniel scratched his nose confused about how to comfort Lydia, he said: "Um...if you want to thank us, how about if we survive this mess, you go on a date with my stupid brother, just once will be enough." Dan raised his index finger with a big smile.

Lydia was stunned for a second, and then her tears turned into small laughs, she nodded while wiping her tears "He saved my life, I will date as many times as he wants."

"Well, thanks, but don't tell him about it, let him work for it, okay!" Dan winked playfully.

Lydia covered her lips and laughed softly, thanks to Dan she felt much better although not for long cause several heavy footsteps walked in their direction and a moment later they heard a gruff voice, holler "Did you find anyone?"

"It's clean here!" another voice answered.

"It's clean here too!" another voice chimed in.

Later on, the first voice grumbled, "Hey are so good at hiding just like Rats!"

Lydia and Dan reflexively held their breath and shrank their necks trying to minimize their presence as much as they would, hopefully, those people wouldn't find them."Are you sure they are here!"

"Yes, the track stops at this place!"

Lydia and Dan looked at each other in shock, they didn't know they had a tracking device, no wonder they found it so easily but where did they put the tracking device, he had checked everything!

The door was open but the room was dark and they hid behind a pile of boxes near the window. The enemies enter the room to check the room, it wouldn't take long for enemies to find them. Dan knew they had to move in this instant but with Owen's condition how could they move?!
