Lory's mood worsened after Sean's trivial provocation. Lory wasn't narcissistic enough to think Sean was interested in her, she was sure Sean had a reason to approach her suddenly but for what? could his cover be blown? but why would an artist like him care about the identity of a hunter like her?...unless he also hides something.

Lory swiped the key card to open her hotel room as soon as she entered she took off her shoes and then picked up the hotel room's telephone after that Lory asked for hotel staff to deliver her breakfast to her room.

Lory threw himself into a chair then he grabbed his cell phone from her back pocket. A moment later, she pressed the speed dial number on the phone then she pressed the phone on her ear for a while she waited and waited with an anxious look.

 Unfortunately, what answered her was a female robotic voice saying the number she was about to call was out of reach, in an instant a wave of disappointment washed over her instantly his face became gloomy from disappointment and worry, Lory took a long time pondering what could happen, then she comforted herself by saying the man was so strong there was nothing that could hurt him, she took a deep breath then darted her eyes towards the window.

"How come the traces just disappeared, is he a ghost?" Izzy was perplexed however he didn't give up, he fervently sprayed the ground further more to find any trace left.

He sprayed a special made of liquid that by mostly hunters usually use to track the beast trail, When the tracking liquid touches the human footprints the tracks will glow yellowish, but if they are beast tracks it will glow reddish.

Because of this special tracking spray, Bella and the others were able to follow Zhao Li Xin even in the confusing Labyrinthl like this, therefore they were shocked when they lost Zhao Li Xin's track as if he had disappeared into thin air.

"Is it possible that one of the beasts finish him off?" Izzy jokingly said.

The man looked at him reproachfully "You think someone who can single-handedly kill Skulga and Zantera can be killed so easily? Hmp, I'm starting to wonder if my wage is too little to do this job," the man expressed his regret. n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

After seeing the numerous traces of the beast carcass left by Zhao Li Xin, the man realized that the man they were going to hunt was not like the information stated. As a hunter/killer for hire, this was very detrimental to him, but it was too late to back down since he was already here.

"Hey, we had a deal, right? And you are not cheap either!" Izzy was annoyed by the man's comments.

"Yeah, but you never said that guy could kill Zantera alone!" the man argued irritably as he felt cheated by Izzy and Bella.

"Shut up!" another man suddenly shushed them, he ignored their protests as he was busy carefully observing the area around them.

"Hey, what's wrong?" The man who had been arguing with Izzy felt the change in his friend's demeanor.

The man didn't answer immediately, he looked up the pointed the flashlight upwards alas even with the flashlight his visibility remained limited.

"I just realized the traces don't entirely mean that the man disappeared instead he was probably hiding...he was hiding somewhere while watching us," the man's voice became stiff and tight as he became vigilant.

His words caused everyone to become alert.

"Are you sure?" the man took out a metal stick from his back. With a slight twist, the metal stick turned into a double axe. He gripped his weapon tightly with full alertness.

"I never wrong about this" the man replies firmly then later he activates the steel gauntlets that cover his arms.

Izzy followed suit, he took out the new guns he purchased specially for long-range attacks after learning from previous experience. Bella then activated a mysterious weapon that was wrapped around her hand, it looked like a long bracelet, but after being infused with mana, the bracelet suddenly grew longer and longer until it touched the ground and then circled where she was standing as if the bracelet was alive.

"Let's force him out!" The man inserted his gift into his axe, and a second later the runes on the ax glowed, the next thing happened, he hit the ax into the ground causing an electric current to spread at high speed all over the area it electrocuted every small beast, gradually the smell of burning meats filled the air hence they waited.

All of a sudden a ripple of laughter echoed causing the hair on their nape to rise. They cannot see who the man is but they can hear someone land on the ground barely making any sounds as if he were weightless just like a feather, the man then moved in slow motion as quietly as before it almost felt like he was floating. "Which one of you who hurt my wife?" They could feel the man scanning their face one by one like a predator deciding its prey, it was an unnerving feeling.

"It was me, are you Raven Jane's husband, Zhao...Zhao Li Xin, right?" Bella narrowed her eyes as she tried to make out the man's figure that was shrouded with darkness.

They deliberately Increased the light from the small flashlights attached to their clothes to see the mysterious man. Soon they were greeted by a man wearing a black robe from head to toe, it almost felt like he merged from the darkness itself.

The man stood tall like a pine tree, exuding a refined-urban demeanor. The man's long black hair flowed beautifully over his broad shoulders, his skin was flawless, fair, and smooth making his thin red lips look conspicuous. Despite being extremely beautiful like someone came out of the painting nevertheless, the two experienced men can't shake the ominous feeling in their hearts.

On the other hand, Bella was completely enthralled by Zhao Li Xin's presence. Though she had seen Zhao Li Xin's picture before, but seeing him in person made her curse the photo for not giving his real look justice!

Bella had never seen a man who emitted so much nobility, charisma, and power. Bella can't hide her infatuation she gawks at the man as if she wants to swallow the man in whole.

Meanwhile, Izzy is burning with jealousy. In the past, she saw Bella close to another man but Izzy knew it was just her manipulation to control the man to do her bit.

Actually, Izzy also realizes that Bella also manipulated him in some ways still he assures himself that Bella likes him more than all those men because in the end Bella always chooses him over them, however, after seeing Bella stare with eyes brimmed with adoration and her cheeks turned visibly red like a ripe tomato even in a dim light, Izzy felt for the first time his position was threatened.

"Mister if you follow us quietly we promise we will not harm you" The man with an axe tries to exert his dominance, he cannot let the enemy know he feels intimidated.

"Hey, Mister, if you follow us quietly, we promise we won't hurt you" The man with the axe tried to exert his dominance. "Yes, as long as you cooperate with us there is no need to be violent" the other man chimed in, honestly he wanted to avoid fighting with this seemingly beautiful but dangerous man.

"Hey, what did you say!" Izzy was enraged.

"Shut up!" the man with an axe rebuked him. As a professional killer, they could recognize the threat at first glance, and right now they felt a harrowing feeling creep from their feet to their backs.
