These fragments were fragments that came from the core of the statue.

That meant that these fragments contained the main power of the demon that had been in this statue.

This was the true power of the Lord of Flies, a high grade demon that was even considered to be on par with the gods themselves. So the fragment of the statue that contained the core power of said demon definitely wouldn't be weak.

It was also the reason why Lin Fan was excited to see these fragments drop.

These fragments were fragments that could be considered god fragments, though they would be considered a demon god's fragments rather than a normal god's fragments.

But even if it was a demon god's fragment, that didn't matter since that wasn't what the system cared about.

All the system needed was a fragment of a god's power and then it would be able to upgrade.

That was why Lin Fan was excited to see this.

It had been a long time, but that was because he had been too busy being caught up in all the different things that had been happening around him. He hadn't had the time to go looking for the god fragments that he needed to upgrade his system.

But now that one had come to him, he would be a fool not to accept it.

It was just that before he could use these god fragments to upgrade the system, there was something else that he had to take care of. There were still witnesses that were here that he had to get rid of before he could use these demon god fragments.

After all, the only way that he could be certain that they wouldn't say anything was if he shut their mouths permanently.

There was nothing more permanent than death.

Not to mention, he didn't feel any guilt about getting rid of trash like them since they were unworthy of life in the first place.

It was better if they were no longer in this world.

The elders of the demonic sects weren't fools, they were smart enough to reach their current positions, so of course they knew what was about to happen.

They had seen the statue of the Lord of Flies shatter and they could feel the power that was coming from the fragments that were left behind. It was very clear that this person wouldn't let them leave after seeing this.

So the only thing that they could do was…

That was what they wanted to say, but they found that they weren't able to say it still. They found that the compulsion of the demon's prestige was still on them, so they weren't able to move at all.

Not even their mouths were able to move to say these words.

All they could do was watch Lin Fan turn around to look at them.

He just raised his hand and they weren't able to stop him as he suddenly formed a fist. With a casual move, he punched out towards the elders.

This punch was a punch that was equal to the one that destroyed the statue. This was a punch that used the full power of the five elements.

As the elemental energy washed over them, there were looks of regret that appeared in the eyes of these elders.

They never thought that this was how it would end.

But in the end, they weren't able to do a single thing against this. They weren't even able to break free of the bindings that had been placed on them.

Lin Fan didn't care about these elders that dropped to the ground after being hit by his punch, he just turned to the fragments that were still there and picked them up without a word.

Then without even bothering to handle the corpses that were on the ground, he wrapped himself up in the illusion spell and walked out of that place.

It wasn't as if Lin Fan was going to use the fragments here.

He had no idea what would happen if he used the fragments and it would be better if he didn't knock the system out of commission here. It was better to do it in a safe place.

But it was clear that he was excited to let the system level up since it had been a long time since that had happened.

It would be a lie to say that he wasn't looking forward to seeing how the system would change after it leveled up.

As for the rest of the Demon Slaying Conference, Lin Fan didn't even bother staying to see what happened. Since there was a capable person that was able to take his place, he would dump it all onto Senior Brother Ying.

Of course, that filled Senior Brother Ying with a bitter feeling as he complained, "Sect master…"

When they came to the center of the valley and saw the corpses of the four sect masters and all of the elders, they knew that Lin Fan had already taken care of everything. Though there were some people that noticed the residual energy that came from the shattered statue, they didn't ask too many questions and just cleaned everything up.

Lin Fan took this chance to head back to Dungeon City all on his own.

Of course, there were people that questioned why he was here, but they didn't stop him in the end.

They could see that he was excited about something and it wasn't often that they saw him like this. But since they were his women, they naturally knew that there was something important happening to him when he looked like this.

Lin Fan didn't hesitate to lock himself up in the dungeon.

There were places that he could have gone to in the city, but he wanted to be in a place where he had full control of everything.

That was why he chose the dungeon.

After locking himself up, Lin Fan pulled out the three fragments from the statue.

Now that he had time to settle, he could tell that…these three fragments weren't as strong as the one that he had found before. It seemed that there was a difference in terms of power between gods and demons, but the Lord of Flies was still a high grade demon.

He was only lacking compared to Aphrodite and Weiss, the two gods that he met.

It seemed that the two of them really were powerful gods.

It made him wonder just how strong the two of them were in terms of hierarchy.

But Lin Fan threw out that thought and focused on the system.

It was a notification asking him if he wanted to use one of the fragments to upgrade the system.

Since there was this notification, Lin Fan didn't hesitate since this was what he wanted to do in the first place. With a thought, he chose to sacrifice one of the fragments to the system to upgrade it.

One of the fragments suddenly disappeared from his hand, but it didn't seem like there was a reaction from the system.

It almost seemed like he had been ripped off with how there wasn't a single reaction from the system. It was as if it had stolen the energy from that fragment without giving him anything.

But then…

"System currently upgrading…"

There was a spinning wheel and a notification that appeared in the corner of his eyes to show that the system had indeed received the divine energy needed to upgrade again.

This was the same thing that happened last time when he upgraded the system, so Lin Fan wasn't worried that something would go wrong. It was just that he couldn't help wondering how long it would take this time…

It had taken quite a bit of time last time and he had found himself in a bit of trouble without the system.

But this time, his situation was much better than before.

Even if something happened, there were things that he could rely on to stall for time until the system finished upgrading. At the same time, there was another system that he was able to use during this same time.

Because of Rokuko, Lin Fan also had a Dungeon Master System.

The fragment from the statue did contain the divine power of a high grade demon, so it wasn't as if this was the cleanest kind of divine power.

Lin Fan wasn't worried about his original system since it was a construct of divine power and wouldn't be affected by the demon's power.

If he used the fragment to upgrade the Dungeon Master System, she and Xiao Bai might be affected because of the demonic energy that was inside of the fragment since they were attached to the Dungeon Master System.
