[Location: ?????] [3rd POV]
After teleporting off, Talia and Hope had reappeared in a new location. A forest, with vast tall trees, and the sounds of nothing but birds.
Looking around, Talia hummed, as she could feel the power localized in this place. It was...immense, to say the least. She could literally feel Lake Lyn, due to the power that was unknowingly rippling off of it.
Looking to Hope, the two nodded, and immediately set out to find Clary and Jace, mostly Clary. Using a bit of magic, Talia found their location, it wasn't too far, and was an easy teleport away.
"Are you going to use the wish?" Hope asked, looking to her girlfriend. She knew that the wish was powerful, and immensely useful if used properly.
"It'd be a waste not to. The Clave can bitch and whine about it, but no one has to know" Talia said with a shrug, knowing hte wish would be useful in her hands, and wouldn't risk wiping out the entirety of the downworlders, including the innocents.
"What are you going to wish for?" Hope asked, as she walked closer to Talia, who was preparing to teleport the two of them to Clary and Jace's current location.
"I have some ideas, but all of them are a surprise" Talia replied, a smirk on her face, as she had plans running through her head, all of them giving them some very useful boons. The wish didn't seem to have any sort of limits, meaning she had a lot of ways she could use the thing, some of them for herself, and some for her mates. She just had to decide which ones she actually wanted.
"Alright, let's get to Clary and save their asses" Talia said, as the two quickly teleported away, only to instantly reappear near where Clary and Jace were. The two were surrounded by over 2 dozen shadowhunters, as well as what looked like an executioner, raising it's axe like blade towards Clary's neck.
Just before the executioner could kill Clary, after they had been betrayed and captured by Malachi, the Consul of the Clave, and a betrayer of the Clave.
Looking to Hope, she gave her a single nod before Talia flicked her wrist, while Hope blurred off.
As the executioners axe began to fall, his neck snapped with a sickening *crack*, and he dropped to the floor, dead. Talia using a simple spell on the man, killing him before he could cause any real damages.
Without waiting a moment, Talia quickly began to cast spells at the rest. Simple ones, mostly Harry Potter ones, so as to not cause too much damage to the surroundings. While she was anihilating the rather weak Shadowhunters, Hope had blurred and ripped the head off of one shadowhunter, before freeing Clary and then Jace. She no longer feared showing off, as she knew that Talia could protect her, and she could protect herself, if it came down to it. The two in question, just watched the rapid course of events, in sheer shock, and in Clary's case, a lot of awe. Afterall, the sigh of Talia easily ripping through the over 20 Shadowhunters, was awe inspiring, and unlike anything she had seen so far, as a Shadowhunter. The rate at which they did so, was basically impossible for any other downworlder, except perhaps Greater Demons, and even they wouldn't be able to do it with such ease.
Seeing that all of the Circle members were very dead, Talia sighed "Well that takes care of that, now, I'm just going to go ahead and assume Malachi was a circle member? And that also means Valentine knows the Lake is the mirror, and all the other secrets that was told to Malachi" Talia said, knowing that was the case.
The two nodded at the question, as it was the truth. Valentine certainly knew where the Lake/mirror was, and what to do. He also knew all the dirty little secrets Malachi was told over the years, some of which could threaten the Clave and it's power. Malachi cared more about saving his own life, than anything else. He spouted about how "it was the wish of the angels" but that was just a cover, hiding the fear he held within his heart.
"Just another reason why we need to kill the man" Talia said, scowling at the pathetic corpse of Malachi. Unlike canon, Valentine was not making it out of this alive, not by Talia's watch at least. The man was dangerous when alive, and didn't deserve to live for much longer. Aftereall, if he lived and escaped, Talia was certain the man would come after her, or the ones she loves. While she could protect them, it would be annoying to deal with.
The others nodded in agreement, before Jace spoke "We have to get to Lake Lyn, he could already be there!"
"He's not. While I can't track him for whatever reason, I do know he's not there yet" Talia said, annoyed that her tracking on the man wasn't working.
"Why isn't your tracking working?" Clary asked, confused on how that would happen.
"Not entirely sure, but it's probably due to the power of the Lake interfering with it. Or maybe it's something else, whatever it is, I'm not very fond of it" Talia said, hating that she couldn't actually track the man.
Hope furrowed her eyebrows, concerned. She had never seen Talia's magic fail before, not like that at least. The fact that someone or something was blocking the tracking spell, was definitely a bit concerning, afterall, Talia was the strongest person she knew.
Walking through the forest towards the Lake, the group kept their eyes out for anymore Circle members, or anyone else that can cause issues for them. The forest was seemingly barren of anymore Circle members, but that just worried Clary and Jace more. Whenever an area was so silent, you couldn't help but fear a trap or something else.
Making it to the Lake, Talia smiled seeing that Valentine wasn't there yet. "Looks like he isn't here yet"
"I wouldn't be so sure of that" A voice sounded out, as Talia turned to Valentine, who was
walking out of the forest towards them, a small smirk on his face.
" you sure it was smart to come here alone?" Clary asked, a raised eyebrow.
"Aw shit you just jinxed it" Talia muttered, as Valentine grinned.
"Who said I'm alone?"
After saying these words, circle members began to slowly flood into the opening, all brandishing weapons. 'Shit' Talia inwardly cursed, there had to have been over 100 members there, all watching them closely, waiting.
Hope scanned the surroundings, a frown on her face as she did so. She knew that Talia could take care of most of them, but who's to say this was all the members? Valentine was smart, smart enough to know that sneak attacks was the only way to actually cause any harm to Talia.
While thinking of this, Hope noticed over a dozen arrows soaring towards Talia at the same time. Before she could reach out to use magic to help, she dodged a blast, coming from a warlock that Valentine had subjected under him.
As she continued to dodge the blasts, she noticed Talia dealing with her own warlock, only for her eyes to widen in horror as she noticed movement behind Talia.
"TALIA!" Hope screamed out, as time seemed to stop.
Talia blinked, before a sharp pain ripped through her chest. Looking down, she blinked at the sight of a seraph blade sticking directly through her chest, where her heart was.
A scream ripped through Clary's throat, with Hope soon joining her, as tears of horror poured
from her eyes.
"W-well, I *cough* can't say *cough* I was expecting this..." Talia softly muttered, as she looked over her shoulder, finding... Jace Herondale, standing there with a scowl on his face. Pulling his blade out of Talia's chest, he watched as she dropped to the floor, seemingly dead. "T-talia, n-no" Clary whimpered out, as two circle members moved and grabbed her. Hope watched her beloved mate fall to the ground, seemingly dead. Her form was still, before a powerful scream ripped through her throat, as magic boomed out of her. Magic brought out from rage, sorrow, and sadness flooded the surroundings, as the power of the Tribrid began to quite literally shake the surroundings.
Valentine's eyes widened in shock at the sight, as black veins trickled down Hope's cheeks, eyes glowing with unadulterated rage. "H-how, what are you?? Valentine whispered out, ignoring his daughter to instead stare at the much more threatening girl.
Hope didn't answer the man, as a deep growl ripped through her throat. "You killed her! You killed MY TALIA!" Hope roared out, as magic slammed against the surrounding Circle members. Freeing Clary from their grips, she quickly moved and slammed her blade through the throat of the nearest Circle member, before moving quickly to Hope's side, rage filling her face just as much as it was filling Hope's. Both ready to avenge Talia, in Hope's case, the one she loves, and in Clary's, the one she's falling in love for. Both ready to fight to their very deaths for this, both more than willing to die in this battle.

That's the end of the chapter.
Am I evil? I feel kinda evil. Cliff hanger kun strikes once more!
This is the beginning of a plan I've had since the very beginning of this fic. Putting my
thoughts into words is pretty difficult, so it's not as "Epic" as I was hoping. But next chapter will probably better, won't be longer, and will be VERY important for the story. The chapter after that will have some revenge, cool moments, and more. This whole big event will be split
up into like 3 chapters or so.
Jace's betrayal was a last minute thing on my part, but I kinda thought it'd fit. With Clary
mosty ignoring the man, Talia getting all of her attention (not that Clary was doing it on purpose).
I've also realized that this volume hasn't really had any real good moments between Hope and Talia, which will be fixed soon. Next volume (which is coming within the next 10 chapters or so) will have a lot more moments between Talia and her mates, as well as more slice of life
stuff, as this volume has been missing a lot of that.
The next 1-3 volumes will be in more mainstream universes, anime included. They'll be explained for my non anime readers of course, but my explanations aren't the best lol. Sorry about the quality of the first half of the chapter. I wrote that at like 3-4 in the morning
last night, and was dead tired. I ended up falling asleep while writing, hence why this is so late. Sorry about that. Anyways, have a good day, see you tomorrow!
