The Invincible Full-Moon System

Chapter 1341 Innocent Soul

Questions swirled around the minds of the onlookers.

Prince Alaric and the Alpha Primes had seen how indomitable Rex was, possessing such sky-high strength is the byproduct of having a stoic and indomitable mind. Reaching the absolute top without those qualities is impossible.

It was especially surprising for Prince Alaric as Rex didn't waver even against a God.

But at this moment, to meet this Werewolf, he was breaking inside.

Vivian was also the same, she couldn't believe what she was seeing right now.

At this moment, it felt like she was not looking at the Royal Black Prince—and the Emperor of the Clarentium Empire—or rather, she had the chance to see another side of him. A side that she never thought Rex would have.

A soft side.

In a union, all of them turned to look at the figure that came out of the cave.

Compared to what they were expecting, the figure was a young female Werewolf—seemingly enjoying herself as she picked a couple of berries and fruits near the cave. Her hum was able to reach them and it was melodious.

She was on the smaller side, smaller than even a female Werewolf around her age should be.

Not to mention, she was extremely weak, around the fourth-rank realm.

Regardless of their assessment, it was clear that Rex has a history with this young Werewolf.

On the other hand, Rex was completely frozen on his spot.

"Agatha..." He mumbled inaudible.

<Notice: the user's sanity is decreasing slowly!>

Just the sight of her was able—to render him completely immobile, he instantly remembered the first time he saw her and was confused deeply by her. Flunra was with him at that time— other than that, nobody knew about Agatha.

I'm here now but I don't know what to say to her.

How can I say to her that I killed her brother?

Should I keep it to myself? No, I don't want to lie to her. But if I don't, she might hate me.

It started from Agatha and ended at Ruston.

He knew deep inside of him that the first notion that he might not need to hate Supernaturals came from Agatha, she showed him that Supernaturals might not be that much different than Humans.

Other than physical differences, they were basically the same.

Like any other kind-hearted sister, Agatha took care of the pack willingly.

A sight that Rex found foreign back then—through his blood-dyed vision.

From that point on, the thought of not hating all Supernaturals was first introduced to him.

Later, once he ended Ruston, he learned that Supernaturals were also the same.

Even a Human would bore blind hatred if their loved ones were killed mercilessly, exactly the same as Ruston. And for Ruston to have regrets—and admit his mistakes, on his deathbed, it made Rex more certain that Supernaturals and Humans are the same.

Now that I think about it, creating a safe haven from the war also came from Agatha's idea.

She's the one who wants a perfect world devoid of bloodshed and war.

If anything, she was one of the people who changed me.

Rex slowly morphed back to his Human form, confusing the others around him.

He then unconsciously stepped out, surprising the others.

Since he was in his Human form, the others feared that Agatha would try to attack him.

But none of them tried to stop Rex.

Not out of fear but it just doesn't feel right to do that—all of them hide instead.

Keeping a close look on the Royal Black Prince, Prince Alaric turned to Mavok.

"Isn't that your family's mark?"

"Hmm...? Oh, you're right, she's of the Teinar Family"

"Do you not recognize her?"

"She's young, probably not even a hundred years old from her scent. I don't think I know her"

"Just who is she to make the Royal Black Prince like this?"

Hearing the sound of someone approaching, Agatha's hands and her hum stopped.

Glancing left and right, she couldn't pinpoint where the sound was coming from.

But then, out of nowhere, the snarling head of a creature came from the tree in front of her.

Since there were hardly any berries or fruits near the cave, she ventured further and stopped at this tree as there were a lot of berries, underneath its umbrella. However, she didn't realize that she wasn't alone.

"Hiihkk!" She choked and fell back, dropping the basket and causing its contents to spill.

Agatha could tell that this mutated tiger was at least of the eighth-rank realm.

Or perhaps, this beast is already a foot into the ninth-rank realm.

Just from the seething black aura coming from it alone was evident enough of that.

Compared to her, this beast is a thousand times stronger.

Naturally, she wanted to cry for help to call for her uncle but she soon covered her mouth.

'I can't scream,' She pondered, tears in her eyes. 'If I scream, uncle would come and he would also die with me. I don't want that to happen—not when he already did so much for me. I'll be its food so it would go away from here'

Despite her fear and situation, she still thought of others instead of herself.

Growl!

Baring its fangs, the mutated tiger growled and was ready to strike but it stopped.

It tilted up and growled again at another person.

Fearing that it was her uncle, Agatha looked over her shoulder and saw that it was a Human.

Her innocent face frowned—but the moment she realized that it was a Human and a familiar one at that, her eyes widened in complete shock. Even then, she reached out to the Human, and pulled him into her embrace, using her body as a shield.

Rex, on the other hand, was completely surprised.

But he soon shook his head as this is exactly what he expected Agatha to do in this situation.

Feeling that Agatha's entire body was trembling in fear—Rex quickly snapped out of his daze and turned to look at the growling mutated tiger. He tilted his head, glowed his eyes crimson, and bared his elongated fangs at it.

He also used the Alpha Bearing skill to make a minimal effort so Agatha wouldn't be spooked.

After all, his strength would definitely terrify her.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

Upon seeing this, the mutated tiger yanked back, tucked its tail, and sprinted away.

It could sense the air around Rex and didn't want to meet death this early.

Only after doing that did Rex return to normal and lightly tap Agatha's back.

"Hey, it's alright now. It's gone," He said gently.

Agatha pulled back, turned around, and was instantly put in confusion.

She didn't understand how the mutated tiger didn't strike when there were easy snacks.

But regardless, she rubbed her chest and sighed in relief, it was nerve-wracking.

Pivoting back, Agatha then yelped, "How can you get lost again? It's the second time!"

Realizing that she shouted, she covered her mouth with both of her hands.

"You remember me?"

"Of course, I can still remember your scent. But never mind that, you can't be here!"

Rex was put in a trance again.

Her light dazzling red—round eyes, the T-shaped rune of the Teinar Family, on her lower abs, and the kind-hearted tone, it was definitely her. Rex felt like he was dreaming earlier but now he realized that this was reality.

And exactly like before, she jumped to a conclusion herself, thinking that he was lost.

Making haste, Agatha went over to Rex and grabbed his hand again. Discover more stories at empire

"Come with me, I'll take you somewhere safe before my uncle finds you" She said.

Agatha pulled Rex away hastily, occasionally glancing back to check if her uncle was there.

Just as Rex was following Agatha, a notification appeared.

<Notice: the user's sanity stat is reaching 50 points!>

Upon reading this, Rex frowned but his heart suddenly throbbed hard inside his chest.

A sudden pang tore through his head and his vision splintered into a dizzying blur of double images. Rex halted in his steps—causing Agatha to also look back and stop before falling to his knees.

His head was assaulted by pain, forcing him to grab his head and groan painfully.

"Mister, are you hurt? What's wrong? Tell me where you're hurting" Agatha asked.

But as Rex looked up at her, his vision throbbed with a red flash.

Flashes of unwanted memories clawed to the surface, half-formed terror-stricken faces and screams, mingling with reality. Rex saw a dark silhouette behind Agatha—it was Ruston with his claws dripping with blood.

Despite the vision, there was no hatred anymore—it was futile.

Rex composed himself and blinked his eyes, the redness instantly vanished.

I have no Invincible Apparation inside me anymore, this wouldn't work on me again.

Of course, Rex was talking to himself, to his mind to be exact.

His past trauma was still lingering inside his deepest memories but without a conduit to fuel, it was nothing—but bad memories that couldn't instigate anything. Only when there was the Invincible Apparation did it work most of the time.

Smiling, he shook his head and stood up, "I'm fine, I'm a little tired that's all"

Just then, however, Rex frowned when he saw the others were already behind Agatha.

All of them were concerned about him and came out of hiding.

Realizing that Rex was looking at her behind, Agatha turned around and instantly gasped.

She fell to her butt when she saw four Werewolves were behind her.

Not to mention, from their appearances alone she could tell that they were of high rank.

Out of the four, she recognized one of them, Movak.

'All of them must be in the area and smelled this Human, what do I do?' She pondered. 'Just like King Baralt, they all must hate Humans. I'm sorry Human—I can't save you from this but I'll still try'

Had Rex known what was running inside her head, he would've gotten a chuckle.

Once again, Agatha took the lead by grabbing Rex and pulling him down to kneel with her.

"Lord Movak, I am the daughter of Rhygar the Red and Kaela, I vouch for this Human. He has not done any wrongs and was only lost. I met him once before, and he's a little bit weird with his questions and the fact that he knows my name instantly but he didn't hurt anyone!"

"Please let him go, I sense no killing intent from him"

Seeing Rex kneeling on the ground in front of them made Prince Alaric and the three Alpha Primes very uneasy. Not to mention, Movak didn't expect Agatha to know him and also ask for mercy like this.

Even if he wanted to answer, he didn't know what as this situation is very unique.

"Answer her, Lord Movak,"

"Yeah, you're her family head. Give the youngster some mercy"

Finding an opportunity, the other two Alpha Primes teased him, pressuring him more.

Movak looked at Rex for an answer but Rex was keeping his gaze down.

"Please, Lord. I beg you from my deepest heart," Agatha continued, crawling to Movak's foot.

But this made Movak even more worried as Agatha is someone important.

It was only then did Prince Alaric intervened.

"I believe this is enough playing around, Your Highness. Should I introduce yourself to her?"

Upon hearing this, Rex chuckled lightly and rose up to his feet.

Seeing this, Agatha was even more stressed as these Werewolves weren't regular ones.

All of them seemed to be important individuals.

Not to mention, they seemed to be in a good mood so she doesn't want Rex to screw it.

"Come kneel down, do you not want to live?" Agatha warned whisperingly.

But it was only then did Rex decided to become truthful, it was fun teasing Agatha but he needed to tell her who he really was if he wanted her to move to Dargena City, "Stand up, Agatha. You saved me once so you're with me and there's no need to kneel to them"

"Are you crazy? How could you say that?!" Agatha retorted.

Rex waved his hand and Agatha saw the three Alpha Primes knelt down towards him.

Such a sight made her breath stuck in her throat.

Here goes nothing.

Once Agatha returned to look at him again, she asked, "Just who are you?"

"My name is Rex and I'm an Emperor, and they right there are under me," He replied.
