Rise of the Blood Sovereign

Chapter 102 Lyle's Goal

102  Lyle's Goal

Lyle arrived home late. Adam and the other two were still up and waiting for him as he entered through the front door and went into the living room.

"The remaining two have been taken care of," Lyle said calmly as Wan and Olman sighed in relief. Olman would have been in trouble had any of the thugs been captured by the guards as they would then know what he looked like.

Even though it wouldn't be easy for them to find him in such a big city and plus the fact that he could always wear a disguise, there was still the slight possibility that someone would have recognized him, or that a person working with the Holads would have some sort of ability that would allow him to see through a disguise and identify Olman.

That was why Wan's ability was special. Even with Lyle's high proficiency at creating a disguise, if a person had an ability that allowed him to see through it, then he would be screwed. The same went for those that were of higher ranks and had a sharp eye, they could somewhat notice small discrepancies that shouldn't be there and could suspect he was using a disguise.

Wan's ability would leave no traces and nobody would be able to see through it thanks to the fact that his body would change and even the muscles and bones would change shape in order for him to perfectly change to someone else.

Of course, even though he could change the shape, he couldn't change the size of his body, so disguising himself as someone that was taller or shorter than him wasn't possible. Still, he could get creative in order to do so, but it was much harder to convince people of his identity in that way.

"So, any progress in how we can start creating the organization?" Lyle asked them as they suddenly glanced at each other before nodding at him.

"Here," Olman said as he placed a parchment in front of Lyle. Lyle took the parchment and started looking at the drawings on it before reading everything that Olman had written down.

The parchment contained all the details of how Olman planned on setting up the organization and how to make it impossible for it to be traced back to them. The drawings were pretty much a confusing web of who would be connected to who and how the entire system would function.

He wrote in full detail about how everything would work and how they would get the money, how many people would work right underneath each other, everything.

"I see," Lyle said as he nodded his head.

"So, when should we start?" Olman asked before Lyle suddenly took the parchment and ripped it into shreds.

"This is overcomplicating it far too much, not to mention that the members will actually have an easier time getting bribed by others or stealing from us." Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"We need to have a straight hierarchy, one where everybody knew that we were the leaders," Lyle told the shocked Olman who stared at the ripped pieces that had fallen down to the ground.

"Listen, we will create an organization that will have a total of three tiers in the very beginning, the main goal is not for us to simply act like a gang that takes money from others, but to create a true organization whose main methods of gaining money and power in the city will be through the strength of the members."

"Now, that will be almost impossible to be done in the beginning, which is why we need to start simple and small, acting like a gang from the beginning and slowly increasing the scope of our influence and power of our members, we, of course, also need to improve our strength, otherwise we will simply be eaten up by other organizations after reaching a certain point."

"Making it so complicated in the very beginning will make it hard later on to change the structure of the organization and how we function, which means that we won't be able to do what we want later on and would slowly have to change the rules of the organization, which will simply take too much work and time."

"We have to keep a low profile in the beginning, making too much noise and causing problems would mean that we will be put under the scope of other gangs and organizations, which can lead to our downfall."

"We also can't simply act as if we do not exist, others need to be aware of our existence, but the four of us need to act as the leaders, not only that, but we need to be the reason why others won't dare mess with us."

"The fewer people know about us, the better, so we need to have minimum contact with the organization, at least on the surface."

"I'm a bit confused," Wan said as Adam and Olman both nodded before looking at Lyle.

"Alright, listen up." Lyle spent the following hour explaining to them how he wanted the organization to function and exactly what roles they would have in it.

With Wan's power, it would be easy for him to act as multiple people in the organization, making them all seem mysterious and in direct contact with the four leaders whose identities would be firmly kept a secret from everyone.

Only later on might Lyle allow some people to get in direct touch with them, but that would be much later on.

The way they would control the organization would be by using Wan's ability, and by using a small teleporter, similar to the one that each branch of the Midnight Dagger had in them.

Lyle could get a couple of them, which would mean that he and the others could send out orders from their house, making sure nobody knew who they were.

There would also be other gangs that would try to wrestle control over their territory, and Lyle and the others would have to be the ones to put a stop to that. There was also the question of what exactly the organization would do, and Lyle had to admit he still wasn't completely certain of what it should be.

He didn't plan on making an organization for assassins as that would simply take too much time and valuable resources, even though he knew what to do, well, he mostly knew what to do as he was still not privy to the highest levels of the organization.

Creating assassins was hard, and it would take much time, time that Lyle didn't have as his main reason for making an organization was to try and use it to help him increase his strength in the short-term, he didn't look at it from a long-term perspective as he simply did not have enough time.

He wasn't going to spend his life in the empire, actually, as soon as he reached the Titled Knight realm, he planned on leaving and traveling around in order to try his luck and get some fruitful encounters, while at the same time improving his personal strength by battling monsters and other races.

War was present in a lot of places in this world, and even though many had stopped thanks to the system suddenly appearing, there were many that were still ongoing, Lyle could try his luck as a mercenary there.

His main goal was to become a true vampire lord, a Tier VI being before making his way over to the Moonless Night Empire and finding his father. As a vampire lord, he had many benefits, and even the empress would treat him well and allow him a lot of freedom, just like the other vampire lords who would frequently travel around the world.

A Tier VI being was a true powerhouse in the world of Corleon and there were not that many of them. Each one was a highly influential figure in the world and could make mountains shake with a mere step. They were those below the five, now six most powerful beings in the world and nobody could force them to do anything, nobody except for the six above them.

Lyle then decided to tell Adam and the others about his intentions, and about everything. He told them of his true identity and what he truly was, not missing a single detail.

Olman and Wan now understood why he didn't wish to create an organization like the one Olman had suggested as that would simply take too much time, time he didn't have.

In order for the organization to prosper quickly, they needed powerful backing and a lot of men, something they didn't have currently. Lyle could perhaps gain that backing from Nicholas, but he was against that idea completely as he didn't want to allow Nicholas to have any more influence over him and his dealings.

He had an idea of how to increase the power and influence of his organization anyway, after all, the fastest way to grow an organization was to merge with other ones or to take them over.
