Pestilence: Rise Of The Pure Undead

Chapter 210 Stack

"You see Skelly, Dracula might say that I am a brute, but beating things to death is an art, requiring precise control and mastery of a technique, only I have ever figured out, I don't just stick my fist in people's jaw, I do with finesse, their head isn't simply detached from their bodies, their spiritual self is utterly gobsmacked at just how good I am at slaughtering them, the souls of the damned applaud my strength, and they could applaud you too!" Continue your journey at empire

The gravelord looked up in a seemingly random direction, narrowing his eyes.

"I think something happened somewhere, something interesting…" he shook his head "In any case, have you ever experienced an oddity, you are clearly the most dead of undeads with a complex mind, so such an occurrence should have been especially odd to you, there are no distinctions in between any parts of your body, your toe or head stand on the same level from your perspective, you have the same perspective of the world from both"

"So, has that ever happened? Have you ever felt like one of your blows was severely stronger than it should have been?"

The two undeads weren't waking anyone at the moment, Nosferatu having decided that right now was a good time to impart some of his brutalistic wisdom.

"I did, against a fight against a swordsman of Tochi, it seemed like my death force enhanced additional things, but also like I was not striking alone" Loimos responded, watching as the expression on the gravelord's face switched with a time lag in between the two halves of his face.

"That first one is what I am talking about, no clue what you were referring to with that second impression through"

He held his fist up.

"Rather than putting my efforts in manipulating blood outside, I put the majority of my focus on learning how to control it inside, as well as delving deeper into blood, you could say that everything relating to vampires as blood of its own, but that is fact only I have completely grasped" his expression turned into what might appear despondent, but that was just what happened when most muscles of his face decided to act appropriately and give out like they were dead, this was focus.

"You first enhance the body, with blood, with what little death force I can manipulate, with mana and all energies that you can possibly stir together, all compressed to the limit, to the utter maximum, all for no other purposes than to increase your physical prowesses, this is not simply augmentation, there is a clear intent to reinforce yourself in specific manners, you will grow faster when needed, strike hard when required, become more flexible to evade, the aspects of the multi-layered augmentation will change according to what is required, to my will and never will it lag behind the enemies action, even being swifter than me if I can not react…"

The undeads that had been awakened already were not too far away, still lacking in their usual strength, but listening to the words of the gravelord anyways, which made some confused, and others felt like fainting, which was not possible for them.

What Nosferatu was describing was already a feat of unparalleled grandeur, on multiple levels at that, he was not saying to just lump every energy you held together, he finely controlled each of them, condensing and applying maximum amount of usage available, which was far beyond most could even imagine was possible, and he had done it right now, without even needing to.

'He is describing the utmost perfected form of transcend' Loimos, having syphoned knowledge directly from Rosemary like a leech, realised this fact without wait, it was not simply vertex or apex, the clear intent he was putting into it was the last step to reach transcend, which was generally referred to as adding a clear spell construct into the mix, not only was his complicated, it was self-changing, a single punch of his could easily kill the likes of the frost dragon, and has an undead, Nosferatu could maintain this insanity forever.

He was not done though.

"Well then, I spoke of blood, everything relating to me has blood, that is something I realised a long time ago, mana has blood, death has blood et cetera, which allows me to stir even more of it than normal" he demonstrated, the power surging even more.

He was still not done.

"And lastly, there is what I like to call 'stack', everything is enhancing my body, but what if I enhance my blood with all other forces within me? And what if I enhance every single thing enhancing my body with everything else available, of course, at the maximum potency, just like for the initial augmentation" he did it with ease, instantaneously.

"This phenomenon happens to many unconsciously, I noticed, but they leave it up to chance, I thought this was a waste, so I learned to make it occur on my own"

It went without mentioning that the gravelord was already overwhelmingly strong even without any additional enhancements, he had stricken the most intense of fears into the scouts and hunters on the surfaces after just awakening, and barely even trying.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"You are able of using Dracula's blood, and your energies are all seemingly affected by undeath, so, if you can gather the blood of all vampire lords, and learn to control those energies at greater levels, well then, I would wager that you might be able of hitting harder than me!" he grinned, rubbing his hand sinisterly.

"Alright skelly! Punch me straight in the chest, put your all into it! Ima-" Loimos did not require motivation, he just did it, his wrist breaking from the impact.

It was mended rather quickly.

"Mmh, you regenerate way too slowly, your death force is so potent, you could recuperate much faster than this, stack is a bit difficult to grasp, let's first strengthen your foundations, Skelly, you have learned many tricks from many sources, mages, arts, styles and tricks, but have you ever bothered to push it all to the next level, ever bothered to wonder if you perhaps had a talent you weren't tapping in?

From what I gathered from you rely heavily on concealing your undeath to enemies, letting them strike you with a supposedly lethal blow before swiftly ending them with an unexpected attack"

"That is… Fine, I suppose, I do personally think you rely on deception a tad bit too much" he made a wide movement with his arms.

"Your rot clearly allows for so much more, so, Loimos, you are not leaving until I deem you worthy, don't you worry about your mission, we, of the dead, could wait even another thousand years, time, is meaningless to our existences"
