My SSS-Rank Class Is Blood Monarch!

Chapter 250- The New Name In Town (Part 1)

Arthur walked slowly through the courtyard, heading to the exit. Nobody seemed to notice him even though he could see several guards still roaming the area, looking for him. Some even got awfully close to him but never looked at him.

In their minds, his attire was completely different so the current outfit he had, hid him perfectly from their eyes.

"Hmm, the situation is still not completely safe." He muttered as he covered his face even more and continued walking calmly. He knew that he had to make sure that he didn't catch their eyes by acting out of the norm.

Eventually, Arthur reached the gate, however, much to his bad luck… He saw three more guards standing there, inspecting every single person walking in or out of the Colosseum.

'Tsk, now this is really annoying.' Arthur clenched his teeth as he looked around him. 'They really don't give up, huh? It's just money, why so serious?'

Arthur rolled his eyes as he continued walking casually. He didn't care if these guards would try to stop him, he was going to just leave normally as everyone else around him. Luckily for him, there were many people moving around him so it was very hard to see him amongst the crowd.

Slowly, he got closer and closer to the exit. His eyes stared at the three guards, secretly. He was inspecting their movement and their attitude.

Then, swiftly, he passed through the gates without being called. None of the guards looked at him as they didn't notice his presence.

"..."

Arthur walked a few steps outside before he stopped and looked over his shoulder at the three guards. 'I was expecting some excitement… But, I truly overestimated these people.'Nôv(el)B\\jnn

He sighed and shook his head before he turned around and started walking again. Arthur then left the area and went back into the city plaza. However, instead of heading back to the headquarters immediately.

Instead, he took a diversion and went to a completely different place in a secluded area. There, he stopped in a dark corner.

"This place should be perfect." He muttered as he opened his inventory. Then, he summoned two large bags in front of him.

"Pfft, my idea was truly genius. Those bastards could've never expected that all I needed to do was touch these bags and then instantly send them to my inventory. They probably thought I would have to drag them around." Arthur chuckled to himself.

This trick he came up with was actually a mechanism his inventory had. All players can send an item to the inventory as long as they have skin contact with it. It was a trick he knew for a while but it proved to be quite useful in this situation.

'These small tricks can really go a long way if I know how to use them. Players will probably never think of such tricks or even use them when they can be game-changers.' He mused as he crouched down.

Arthur was a huge fan of small details and intricacies. He enjoyed finding these small loopholes he could use to his advantage. It never proved to be a bad idea as each mechanic the game provided had a good reason and he was ready to use everything to win.

"Now, let's make sure these people didn't do anything funny to try and mess with me." He muttered as he opened one of the bags randomly. Peeking inside, Arthur's eyes widened in surprise. Explore more stories at empire

Inside the bag, he saw thousands of shiny gold coins. The beautiful coins shone under the faint light of his surroundings. They looked beautiful and breathtaking.

"..." Arthur's hand slowly moved inside and picked up a handful of coins as he examined them with his eyes. "Wow…"

A sense of delight filled his heart as a wide smile formed on his face. "We are rich!!" He exclaimed. Seeing this much money, Arthur felt a strong sense of relief wash over his body.

This money was more than enough to cover all their expenses for a very long time. He can even convert these coins into real money and get even richer.

"..." Sitting down for a second, Arthur closed his eyes as he let the feeling of the achievement fill his heart. "I made it… Grandma… I'm now rich." He muttered with a wide smile. "I did promise I'm going to make it big, didn't I? I know I almost gave up on that idea at some point. But, here I am… I hope you're happy with me up there."

Arthur didn't forget when he and his grandma lived in complete poverty when he was a kid. She barely ate as she had to give him everything she had. Yet, even then, Arthur would have to still sleep hungry most nights.

However, his gratitude toward his grandmother was endless. She gave him her life when she was already too old to work or provide. She didn't complain or hate him for making her life harder. Instead, she was his mother and father whom he never had.

'I wished I could repay you… But, it was never meant to be.' He exhaled a small breath. The moment she died, Arthur felt as if everything crumbled and he had nothing else left to live for. He had promised her a lot of things, a better future, a better life, and a lot of food to eat every single day.

Yet, she left before he could deliver the fruits of her hard work.

For a moment, Arthur, felt as if he was about to tear up. So, he quickly shook his head and looked down at the coins. "No reason to cry now. She's probably happy I was able to get what I want."

Even though he was feeling a lot of bitterness in his mouth, he still focused on the second thing he had to do.

"I need to confirm there are no tracking devices hidden in these bags."

Arthur was certain that the CEO wasn't going to let this slide even if he couldn't catch him immediately. A small tracking device would do the job and reveal where Arthur and the others were.

He had to make sure no such a thing was brought to their headquarters.

"I wonder if they hid it well or not…"

With that, Arthur slowly opened the bag even wider and started searching. His senses ready to detect all the possibly suspicious things inside.

"WHAT THE HELL DO YOU MEAN YOU COULDN'T CATCH HIM?!!!!"

*SMASH*

Inside his office, the CEO slammed his fist on the table, almost breaking it with sheer anger. His face was red from his outrage as he yelled at his worker. He had just received the worst news possible.

"S-Sir… Our suspect ran away before we could catch him."

"THIS IS NONSENSE!! What did I pay those bastards to do, huh?! They can't even catch a single person?!"

"We are still searching, sir! There is no way he can run away! Some guards claim to have seen his face so we are going to look around."

"Finding that bastard in this city will be like searching for a goddamn needle in a haystack!!" He retorted as he grabbed his head. "Sigh… Tell me one thing… Are the detectors working? If so, we can still find his location."

"They are working sir. But…"

"There is a 'but'?"

"... We can't detect his location currently."

"..."
