Chapter 63 Shelter upgrade requirements
Nobody had anything to say to him, not a single word formed in their mind while they looked at John who had stopped after a sip.

"Hmm..." John said while looking up in calm.
"What hmm? Tell me! Are you okay?" Ella asked with a literal pale expression while holding his hand tightly.
"Yeah, the taste is okayish and I have no problem till now. It's not that thick so drinking it made my throat feel good."
"Nothing else?" Lucas asked with curiosity.
"Yeah, nothing else but I will give it a little time so don't drink it just yet," John said and went on with squeezing the other meat's blood in the bowls until they were filled to the brim.
Around 10 small pieces were kept on the wooden grill of the fire pit like before and were kept to smoke for 20 minutes.
At that time, Lucas did not work with anyone and went on with his own routine. At once, he called his sister and bantered with her like always.
He also offered her some meat but she outright rejected him as their mother had already provided her with one too.
Lucas told her about the smoked meat and how he was going to start trading it with some of the people he knew who were still alive, to which Tessa didn't say anything.
After saying that she would need some time to think as she was not the only person in her group. Lucas offered to give it for free from his share but Tessa's pride got in the way like always.
They bid farewell and Lucas went on to eat one of the smoked meat pieces that he kept inside the makeshift lid for a few minutes to make it hot.
After eating, his routine started again where he practiced his skills till he didn't have any more energy. When he took a break, he went inside the forest on their usual routes to identify new plants that he missed the many times he went there.
One has to know that while Lucas had the skill to know about these plant's uses. He could only look at some before the time would run out and they had to go away again. The plants that were in the forest amounted to 'countless' by him and he was referring to only a small patch.
'Hmm.. now that I am here to look at random plants and not just the rimmerroots, there are a lot of useless ones too.' Lucas thought.
He did not leave any and one by one looked at the plants near the shelter's south direction away from the Kobold's territory. He found that many of the plants had some very basic uses like digestion helpers, cough inducers, and many that he didn't need for now but Lucas now knew where to come in time of need.
Among these plants, there were many that Lucas didn't know anything about which made him wonder whether the plants were total duds with no uses or they were just above his level grade.
But at the end of the day, his work, for now, was to level his skills up, and that needed using the skill daily.
Because of all the meat in the shelter which would not go bad for even a week now cause of the storage room's low temperature.
Lucas and the groups had no need to go on hunts aside from leveling up which they direly needed.
But a decision was made in unison that getting their skills to upgrade would make the chances of leveling up without getting hurt increase.
After two hours, Lucas was done with a couple meters of area in the south of the shelter.
He was satisfied for the day and went back only to practice his punching skill again for twenty minutes.
When he was done, the only option was to go inside the shelter for some actual rest before the dinner but Lucas was hesitant.
"Should I check for the upgrade requirements for the shelter now?" He talked to himself aloud and sighed deeply.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
"It has been two days of stalling, why wait more?" A feminine voice came from behind. He didn't have to look back to know who was there.
"You're right, come with me and give me moral support, Sarah~" Lucas groaned and jokingly took Sarah's hand in his and went inside.
Sarah's mind started making every possible scenario in her mind while her eyes were dazed and her cheeks reddish.
Lucas went to the corner and finally clicked on the blue dot he was repulsed from after the upgrade.

"Huh... what can I say... It's not too bad I guess?" Lucas couldn't believe the requirements were still in a medium that he was comfortable with.
"Umm... w-would you mind...?" A sheepish voice came from behind and Lucas looked at Sarah who had a reddish shade on her face.
Lucas first didn't understand as to what he needed to mind for but when his gaze went to where she was looking. He finally let go of her hand in embarrassment.
"Haha... I am sorry, Sarah."
"N-No problem! So, how did it go?" Sarah asked while trying to change the topic that went past Lucas without him realizing it.
He wore a smile on his face and extended his thumbs up to show her his satisfaction.
"Wait, you will know at the time of dinner, it's good news."
