Chapter 99: The Grand Opening!
Kyle knew the turnout was going to be huge, the attention it got on social media made it look like one of the hottest clubs in L.A.
He paid celebrities to tweet about it to increase the hype surrounding the opening.
There was no way that people wouldn't want to give this place a try when their favourite artist had nothing but praise for the people here.
Kyle knew he had to make sure the security was tight too, this was one of the most important things because he had no idea what could happen on the scene.
The last thing he needed was for his club to become a murder scene on the first day because people tend to get violent with a few drinks in them.
Kyle got into the club but the line that had formed outside was jaw-dropping.
He already expected a huge crowd but this exceeded all expectations.
He met Nate inside along with some other people who were temporarily, just for tonight.
Kyle had every intention to retain anyone that did a good job, this acted as a job interview but he gave Nate the liberty to choose who they retained.
Nate was the manager and Kyle made sure he had a certain level of control to make key decisions. This was no doubt a risk as he would have been safer bringing in an experienced manager to handle things rather than gambling on Nate.
Nate, however, was trustworthy and this was one of those things you could learn from the judge.
Kyle's wealth allowed leeway for certain financial mistakes but the disco light hanging in the middle of the dancefloor with the tiled floors capable of buying multiple cars as they were imported all the way from France.
Kyle was happy, he couldn't contain his smile because he didn't know this thing would be possible.
This dream, this right here was his imagination manifested into reality.
"Money is truly the wheel that makes the world go round," Kyle muttered under his breath but the loud music blasting around them was enough to drown out any hushed voices.
"ARE YOU PEOPLE READY!?" Kyle screamed at the top of his lungs, his voice managing to drown out the music blasting as it coincidentally hit a low decibel at the moment.
The workers were pumped because they knew this might be a chance for them to get a decent job that didn't pay horseshit.
They all matched Kyle's energy and this was the most emotion Nate had seen from Kyle.
He was a happy man right now and nothing was going to stop him.
Ella arrived soon after but Kyle instructed Nate to usher in but he was also impressed that she was punctual.
Kyle knew she would eventually figure out he owned this club but for now, he wanted her to enjoy her first gig here without a care for the world.
This was the one thing she needed to get her mind off things, Kyle heard about her parents' death. He knew that even if they didn't get along, there would always be a part of her that wished things were different and she missed the chance to make that change.
But not everyone could be changed, Kyle knew this more than anyone.
"Um, Kyle…" Nate called out, sounding confused.
"Yeah? Is something wrong?" Kyle questioned, sensing his concern.
"There is someone here, she said she is with the band but her name isn't on the list," Nate informed Kyle.
The two hefty men stationed at the entrance ready to spring into action should the situation call for it.
"Is her name Jane by any chance?" Kyle questioned with a knowing smile.
There was no way that Jane wouldn't come here to support her best friend on one of the biggest nights of her musical career.
"How did you know? You were expecting her?" Nate questioned but Kyle didn't give a verbal response.
He checked his phone and just as he expected, Jane had told him that she was coming to this club. Kyle named it "The Devil's Treat"
A catchy name to say the least but he was aware of what it could be interpreted as considering the religious nature of the world.
There was a message attached that Ella had only told her last minute and that was why she was just informing him.
Kyle had no reason to doubt her because this would be pointless if it was one considering Kyle had no way to know her whereabouts.
He understood the importance of open communication and Jane remained the greenest flag he had seen so far.
Ella only informed her of the gig and how late she would be but Jane quickly threw on something when she found out how big of a deal this was.
"Let her in and make sure she gets the V.I.P. section," Kyle instructed Nate.
Nate was surprised but it was clear that he knew her and boy, was she a cutie.
"Fine! I will do it," Nate responded but before he left, he was given a stern warning.
"Oh and Nate… She's mine," That was all Kyle said, this should be enough to dissuade him from making any moves on her but Nate wasn't even that kind of person to begin with.
"As you wish, boss," Nate responded with a thumbs up.
Kyle knew he had to make an appearance and this would be the night that his dream became a reality.
The club was officially opened and the crowd poured in, Kyle made sure the area Jane was in was restricted solely to her.
No one else could access the area regardless of their status, they would no doubt lose revenue in the hundreds of thousands but that was inconsequential.
This was going to be a long night and Kyle planned to enjoy every single moment.
The restaurant was in the next room and with the soundproof walls, it could effectively separate these two lifestyles.
"Let the party begin."
