"What? It's been like only four weeks, but I was already disturbed out of my cultivation?" Davis chuckled at them.

However, looking at their solemn expressions, he guessed it wasn't time to joke around.

"I hope you two made the decision to be here before things got out of hand. Speak."

Contrary to his worries, Mingzhi and Nightveil were not solemn. They were simply overwhelmed by the scent he exuded. His figure was full of perspiration, days of untold hard work that remained on the surface of his smooth skin as though they were crystals.

Mingzhi almost bit her lips. If she wasn't pregnant, she might've kept at him and explained things above the bed.

"You dirty hunk. You should take a bath first."

"I should…" Davis chuckled as he looked at his body. He didn't smell any odor, but he sure was sweating. He got wounded a lot but was also able to heal all the wounds, so all that was left inside was a bloody smell. He supposed it wouldn't be good to show them the carnage inside and took them out to another chamber nearby.

There, he took a quick bath and walked out, all refreshed.

He was clad in a new yet same old purple robe as though it was his uniform.

"Alright, tell me. Did the rescue mission go well?"

"Of course." Mingzhi smirked, "The rescue mission is completed successfully. Almost everything went nearly in our favor, and if we played our cards right, no one would disturb us for the next ten years. If we don't play, then we won't have a table to play on."

"Oh?" Davis raised his brows.

Mingzhi's words were intriguing.

This was only supposed to be a rescue mission, but it turned into a crisis already. He supposed those three villains showed up, but then it didn't make sense that it would have anything to do with whether they were disturbed by the Heaven's Warriors or not.

Mingzhi didn't make him wait and quickly explained the course of the events from start to end so that he didn't miss anything. Of course, the detailed events should be asked from Illumina, who was on all three flying ships, but she knew the gist of it.

By the time Mingzhi reached the point where the Verdant Vale Realm Master had blocked their path, Calypsea was unleashed... Davis was already trembling.

"She destroyed the Verdant Vale Lower Realm!?" He couldn't help but interject with a surprised expression.

"…" Mingzhi wanted to say yes to test his reaction but didn't.

She then told him, "No. Calypsea made it to the place where the Verdant Vale Lower Realm's Realm Core was located and managed to melt and devour it. However, the process was so slow that they had to abandon it- but we were so lucky that Calypsea managed to actually find the presence of the Realm Core's spirit and even communicate with it using this strange ancient language known as the Fires of Life Language according to Lereza. This realm core spirit pleaded to Calypsea to spare her, so with Lereza's plan, they managed to get the Realm Core to dissolve the connection it had with the Verdant Vale Realm Master Thousand Windblades and essentially keep it from forming bonds with others unless said otherwise by Calypsea."

Davis's jaw already dropped when Mingzhi mentioned the Realm Core Spirit.

They had all talked about it when they were celebrating conquering the universe while being drunk a bit, and the first step to that was conquering the realm cores. That was coming true!?

"Are you serious?" Davis asked in an incredulous tone.

"Dead serious." Mingzhi nodded before she stood up. She explained a bit more before including the person in question.

"You will be able to find Calypsea secretly eating the realm core's essence if you follow us."

"Let's go."

Davis followed her, and when they were outside, they got engulfed by a spatial vortex. When they appeared on the other side, Davis spotted a crouched figure behind a mountain. He could vaguely see a black-robed little girl chugging on a golden liquid pouring from a container, and once it was over, she shook it and then even used her hands to scoop the entire thing inside as though she was collecting a giant scoop of ice cream from a container and lick her hands clean

She then summoned the next container with the melted essence and moved on to drinking it.

It made Davis's cheek twitch. This little glutton didn't know how to share!

"We can't use it. She refined it with her apocalyptic flames in order to devour it. It is something only useful to her since it is impure with apocalyptic flames, but she acts like we're going to steal it, so you better not show any signs of wanting to snatch it from her, or she will run away again." Mingzhi warned.

Davis barely managed to stop his laughter before he flew towards her.

"Calypsea…"

"Ah~"

Calypsea reacted as though the world was going to end. She threw the container up before she hurriedly caught it and hid it behind her small figure. She looked at Davis with a guilty expression as she lowered her head. n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Master… I didn't do anything wrong." She didn't even know how to hide it.

Davis saw her become defensive and stopped a few meters away from her. It appeared as though it was a matter of life and death to her.

"Calypsea, I heard that you managed to scare a Realm Core Spirit into submitting to you. It's a great achievement. All the essence you collected belongs to you. We don't want any."

He started, looking at her initial reaction, and he saw her look up, her smile blossoming.

"Really? All these belong to me?"

Grinning wide with expectation, she displayed the container to him.

The others nodded.

Davis also nodded, "Yes, all of it belongs to you. In fact, if I find a better flame, I will instantly give it to you for finding a Realm Core Spirit and taming it. You deserve it."

"Yay!~"

Calypsea cheered. She no longer looked afraid and moved towards him, hurriedly describing her feats to the best of her ability so that he would praise her more and give her more food.
