"Was there no other way?"

Lea closed her eyes, her expression full of hurt.

She couldn't believe Davis once again threw his life on the line like that.

Life wasn't going to be that simple. When things go out of control, he may make a mistake, which causes his soul to rupture and scatter.

"Well," Davis stretched his soul body, "The other choice would've been to face the Celestial Transcendent in a few months or even weeks, which would've ended in a disaster even if I survived."

He turned to look at Lea, his eyes gentle. Even if he survived, it was not clear if his people would survive. He didn't want to take that chance unless there was no other way.

He exhaled with a bright smile, "What's done is done. We can't look back, Lea. After we return home, it would be your duty to convince your sisters."

"That's going to be difficult." Lea wryly smiled, "Everyone is going to blame me for not coming up with a better method. Perhaps it was Myria who was here…"

"If anyone blames you, they would be incurring my wrath." Davis chuckled.

He took her hand and left the Discordant Clouds of the Vast Dream, leaving behind the only table that had marked the deal of a lifetime.

The soul body lacked the power to challenge this danger zone, so he didn't bother going deeper.

They traversed from the Ghastly Cloud Sovereign Lower Realm to the Ghostly Crow Lower Realm and finally to the Three-Headed Hydra Realm. They made sure to hide their presence, and the Celestial Transcendent shouldn't be following them, or he would break his promise and have to give them a hundred years' time.

However, they didn't go as far as to move all the way to their current hideout.

When their soul bodies reconnected with their main bodies, they chose to disperse.

In their current hideout in the Three-Headed Hydra Lower Realm, two figures, a man and a woman, were squirming on the bed.
