Wrath shook her head and said, "Let's hope you don't meet someone who can overwhelm your defenses in one blow."

He said as he began to dispose of her body, "I am just saying. As long as it can help me block part of an attack enough for it not to be able to kill me instantly, I'll be able to heal. That has to be good enough for me."

She agreed. "That's true. With your innate resilience and ability to heal, this ability will do well for you."

He decided to do a thorough job of destroying her body and that of the man he had killed earlier. He didn't need to do much. He just threw them in the room where fire rose had fought. There was still a fire burning there.

He tested the ability by using it to carry the bodies into the thick of the flames. The armor protected him from the heat of the flames easily. He didn't even feel any heat. But he could feel his mental focus draining keep his protection intact.

Wrath commented as he worked, "You look odd, though."

He sighed at that and said, "There's nothing I can do about it. I either have to use it or not."

She tried to accept how he looked using the ability. She said, "It isn't that bad. You look quite dashing in it."

He didn't buy it. "I look recognizable. That's bad."

The Aegis shield has changed now that it has fused with Juggernaut's Force. It doesn't use his stamina anymore. It relies on his mental focus and the storage of force in his body.

It can also have a higher breaking point and regenerate quicker now. But both the red tattoos of the passive mode and the ostentatious red armor of the active mode are present.

The tattoo has to appear when he uses the ability. It will be there both in the passive and the active modes. There is no change to it, so if he uses the ability, he will look Ray, which might make others start asking questions.

Wrath reminded him, "Let's leave now. Trouble might come at any moment."

He was tempted to raid the place and steal some things, but he decided to leave the place as soon as possible too. He had already earned a lot and didn't want to let greed be his doom.

He went to his safe house first, where he changed before going home. He was at home when he received messages from Pauli.

Wrath asked, "Let's hope he has good news for once. If not, just tell him to fuck off."

Kelvin chuckled at the comment. He was in a good mood despite the loss of the Purple Drag Club, so he felt that he could tolerate another disappointment from Pauli.

So he read the message cheerfully while Wrath grumbled.

"Riptide, I have good news, bad news, and a solution to the bad news."

This made him snort before reading on.

"The good news is that I have found a mental defense super for you. The bad news is that we can't find him. He is hiding for some reason. The solution is that we can help you find him, but it will cost you."

"Before I tell you what the solution is, I want you to know that we are doing you a favor by offering it all. The person that will help you find the super is usually very busy, but you have helped us out with the police force too many times, and we have failed to help you too many times. So we decided to use him."

"This person sees emotions. Because of this, he is our best recruiter, negotiator, and tracker. He can find someone as long as he knows where they have been before, what time they were there, and what they were feeling at that point. So you know he is a big shot."

Kelvin's eye twitched when he saw that while Wrath said, "Very interesting. I wonder how that works. Is a psychic or physique super? Is his ability in his mind or in his eyes?"

He didn't comment and continued reading the message.

"He was busy tracking a target with the omega ability called Earth Escape. This target is a man with an ability that allows him to sink into the ground or walls and use them to escape quickly. But he is willing to set aside this mission to help you."

"All it will cost you is 10 million dollars. I know that is too much, so I have an alternative. If you have a useful tip about this target, you can use it to gain his help too. If your tips lead to the target, we will pay you. Attached to this message is the information we have on the target."

Kelvin read the message again. Then he asked Wrath, "Can a null ability prevent me from being tracked by this man?"

Wrath replied, "Nulls have a certain resistance to the effects of many abilities. They might not be able to nullify the ability, but they usually resist the effects of abilities on them, so it might work."

He asked, "Is there another way to prevent being tracked with certainty?"

She shook her head. "A lot of abilities counter each other, and there are abilities that can help to hide, but only a null has any amount of resilience to resist all types of abilities. There is another option which is for them to reach a two-way partnership. This will grant him her stealth properties and will make him difficult to be sensed. But she didn't state that as it would seem manipulative.

All she could give was an innocent answer. But it wasn't helpful because he already knew that answer. He was just hoping for a way he hadn't thought of.
