Chapter 90 Alex
Some time ago, while Arthur and his friends were exploring other courses, Cedric and Kaela arrived at their classroom to find them. However, they didn't find them.
"They're not here," Kaela noted, glancing around. "Why don't you try contacting them?"
"I already messaged Alicia," Cedric replied, tapping his phone. "But it seems like her phone's muted—she hasn't seen my text yet."
Kaela crossed her arms, frowning. "Where should we start looking? I really need to talk to Alicia before deciding on my courses."
While they were pondering their next move, a familiar voice interrupted them.
"Hey~ Aren't you Arthur's friends?" Eveline, the saintess, called out, walking toward them with her usual radiant smile.
Cedric turned, recognizing her. "Oh, it's you. We met the other day, right?"
Cassandra, who was standing beside Eveline, chimed in. "What brings you two here?"
"We're looking for Arthur and Alicia," Kaela explained.
Eveline tilted her head thoughtfully. "Well, you just missed them. They left a little while ago."
"Do you know where they went?" Cedric asked, his tone hopeful.
"They were talking about checking out some of the courses," Eveline said. "You might find them in one of the classrooms or labs."
"Or," Cassandra added with a grin, "you could just wait for them in the cafeteria. Sooner or later, they're bound to show up there."
Cedric gave a grateful nod. "Thanks for the tip. I owe you one. I'll treat you both sometime."
Just as he was about to head out, another figure stepped into the room, catching their attention. The new arrival radiated an aura of confidence, their presence immediately shifting the atmosphere.

"Thanks for the info. I'll treat you both someday," Cedric said with a grin as he turned to leave. But before he could step out, another figure joined in.
It was Alex, though his usual confident swagger seemed dimmed. His shoulders slouched, and his face carried a mix of embarrassment and defeat.
"What's up with you?" Eveline asked, tilting her head. "You look like someone just stole your lunch."
"It's nothing," Alex muttered, averting his gaze.
"Hah~ Let me guess," Cassandra said, smirking. "Got turned down by another girl, didn't you?"
Alex's face turned crimson as he snapped, "It's not like that! We just met. She's probably shy or something."
"Oh? Who's the girl who managed to turn down our 'hero'?" Cedric teased, earning a sharp glare from Alex.
"Hey, who are you to comment on my affairs?" Alex snapped.
"Relax, bro. He's just messing with you," Cassandra said, trying to defuse the tension. "You know Cedric and Kaela, right?"
Alex's eyes flickered with recognition. "Oh, yeah. You're the brother of that beautiful girl—what's her name? Alicia, right?"
"Hmph. Don't even think about my sister," Cedric said, crossing his arms.
Alex smirked, his confidence seemingly restored. "Relax, I didn't say anything. But…" His gaze slid to Kaela, and a self-assured grin spread across his face. "Miss Kaela," he began, his voice dripping with charm. "We didn't get properly introduced earlier. I'm Alex Stale, heir of Stale County and the Hero. Would you do me the honor of joining me for coffee? It'd be a great chance to know each other better."
Kaela raised an eyebrow, smirking as she wrapped her arm around Cedric's. "Let's go, Cedric. We might miss Arthur if we waste any more time here with some clown."
With that, she led Cedric out of the classroom. But before leaving, Kaela paused at the door, turning to glance at Alex with a mocking smile.
"Oh, and Alex? If you're the hero, the world is in serious trouble." Her words sliced through the air with deadly precision before she walked out, leaving Alex frozen in place, his face a blend of shock and humiliation.
"Sigh." Cassandra shook her head as she patted Alex's shoulder. "Brother, how many times do I have to remind you? This isn't Stale County. No one here is falling at your feet. When are you going to stop embarrassing yourself?"
With that, she left him behind, trailing after Kaela and Cedric.
Alex's P.O.V
'What the fuck is happening?' I thought, clenching my fists in frustration.
'Aren't I supposed to be the protagonist? Aren't these girls supposed to be falling for my charm like moths to a flame?'
But reality was far from my expectations. Instead of adoration, I was met with indifference, rejection—even mockery.
'Why is nothing going the way it should?' I fumed internally. 'It's as if I've been reduced to some background character.'
The more I thought about it, the clearer it became.
'Everything started to go wrong the moment I crossed paths with Arthur Ludwig. It has to be him.'
Ever since I crossed paths with him, everything started falling apart.
It has to be him. Whichever girl comes into contact with him, my charm just... stops working.
First, it was that Alicia girl. Then Akira earlier today. And now Kaela. The pattern was undeniable.
They all had one thing in common—they've been around Arthur.
Even my sister and the saintess... their attitudes toward me shifted after the assessment day. It was subtle at first, but now it's clear.
But who the fuck is he? Arthur Ludwig? That name wasn't in the game.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
The thought sent a chill down my spine.
Did I transmigrate to the wrong world or something?
A flurry of thoughts stormed through my mind, each one more troubling than the last. If someone could hear my internal monologue, they'd probably think I'd lost my mind. But the truth was far more complicated.
I'm not from this world.
This is my second life.
In my previous life, I was nothing. Just a loser shut-in, fat, unemployed, and leeching off my parents like a parasite. My days blurred together in a haze of junk food, porn, and grinding through adult games.
My social life? Nonexistent.
My future? Bleak.
My greatest achievement? Perfecting the art of fapping.
And then, one day, I died.
Cause of death? Overdoing it during one of my "marathon sessions." A truly pathetic way to go, if I'm being honest.
When I opened my eyes again, I thought I'd landed in some fever dream.
I wasn't just alive—I was reborn.
Not as some random nobody, though. No, I'd been reincarnated as the protagonist of one of the games I used to play. Transmigration as a protagonist? That alone was a jackpot. But the fact that it was an eroge world? That was the ultimate prize.
It was a shut-in's ultimate fantasy come to life.
Over the last five months, I've lived the kind of life most men could only fantasize about. Being the son of a lord came with its perks—wealth, status, and immunity to rejection. Women didn't dare say no to me, and I indulged in pleasures I could never have imagined in my old life.
I fucked more women in these months than I'd ever even met in my previous life.
When I left for the academy, I was brimming with excitement. Not for the classes, obviously.
I was looking forward to meeting them. The female leads.
I pictured myself recreating every steamy scene from the game, living out my wildest fantasies with these heavenly beauties.
But now?
Nothing is going as it should.
Instead of admiration, I'm met with resistance. Instead of awe, I'm treated like an afterthought.
And worst of all, there's him.
Arthur Ludwig.
An anomaly who wasn't even part of the game.
'This isn't right,' I thought, my fists clenched.
Something's wrong with this world, and I'll figure out what it is.
3rd Person P.O.V
While Alex was busy with his inner monologue, Cedric and Kaela finally walked into the cafeteria, their eyes scanning the room for Arthur and Alicia.
"So here you are! Do you even realize how long we've been looking for you?" Kaela's voice rang out as she approached Arthur's group, her tone somewhere between frustration and relief.
"Yeah, can't you guys check your aetherpods once in a while?" Cedric added, plopping down beside Arthur. Without hesitation, he snatched the burger right out of Arthur's hand and took a big bite.
Kaela wasn't far behind in her antics. She grabbed the smoothie from Alicia's hand. "Give this to me. I'm exhausted from running around trying to find you," she said, taking a long sip.
Arthur frowned, swiftly reclaiming his burger. "Order your own if you're hungry," he retorted, glaring at Cedric.
"Well~ we muted our aetherpods during class and forgot to unmute them," Alicia admitted sheepishly, giving an apologetic smile.
"Why were you even looking for us?" Arthur asked, his brow raised.
"We wanted your advice on which courses to pick," Cedric replied.
"Yeah, we figured it'd be nice to take some classes together," Kaela chimed in, finally settling into a seat.
"Well, you came to the right place," Arthur said, leaning back in his chair. "We've checked out most of the specialized courses and decided on our choices."
"Oh? Spill the details, then!" Cedric urged eagerly.
Arthur listed his choices offhandedly. "I'm going for alchemy, magic engineering, crafting, spirit magic, summoning, beast taming, and weapon mastery."
"Whoa, that's a lot," Kaela said, impressed.
"Yeah, you won't have time for anything else with that many courses," Cedric added.
Arthur shrugged nonchalantly. "I'll manage. You should focus on your own courses instead of worrying about me."
Cedric sighed but didn't press further. "Alright, what about you, Sis?" he asked, turning to Alicia.
"I'm thinking of business management, elemental magic, and summoning," Alicia replied, sipping on her now-stolen smoothie.
"Nice. Got any suggestions for me?" Cedric asked, hopeful.
Alicia thought for a moment before nodding. "You should definitely take business management, and maybe some combat-related courses like swordsmanship or magic combat. It's important to balance theory with practical skills."
"She's right," Kaela agreed, smirking at Cedric. "You're too weak. Join martial arts—I'm taking that too."
Cedric groaned, his shoulders slumping in defeat. "Fine, fine. If you're all ganging up on me, I'll work on my combat skills," he muttered, earning a satisfied grin from Kaela and a nod of approval from Alicia.
